Through the stone contracting side of our business, we carry out new-build and restoration building work throughout the UK using all types of real stone. We can also supply a complete survey, design, supply and fixing service in marble, granite and slate for shopfronts, cladding and flooring.

We are happy to provide written quotations for all types of stone supply and for stone building work on request.

The stonework on these new flats in Dalry, Edinburgh was cut and dressed at our stoneyard and then built on site by our team of skilled masons.

This project was a combination of new split faced walling along with alterations to the existing building.

The stone used here is Stanton Moor sandstone.

The Flodden Wall leads from the Grassmarket to Johnstone Terrace in Edinburgh and is an integral part of Edinburgh's history and landscape.

We restored a section of the old wall in the year 2001 using locally sourced rubble built in lime mortar. The work was carried out under the strict guidelines set out by Historic Scotland and the appointed archaeologist.

The only new stone used here was for replacement copes. These were produced in Wattscliffe Lilac sandstone.

Our stonemasonry skills were employed at part of the former City Hospital in Edinburgh which has been converted into luxury flats.

The works primarily involved the formation of new structural openings in the existing external walls with new sandstone dressings to match the existing facade.

The stone used in these archways was Corsehill Red.
